You cannot run my designs on anything but 3.6 volt battery packs.

This is a HDPE plastic adapter that mounts to the bottom of a DX P7 LED bike light.
It lets you use the Marwi helmet and handlebar mounts shown on this page.
The stock DX light mount is not very versatile, but the Marwi mounts are.
The DX adapter has two small holes and one large hole.

The small holes
One hole is the mounting screw hole and the other hole is where the power cord enters/exits the light body.
Note that you will have to unsolder the power cord wire from the circuit board inside the DX light, then push it through the small hole in the adapter and re-solder it.
This would be a good time to have a look around inside your light and make sure all is ok.

The large hole
The large hole is how you mount the adapter to a Marwi Helmet or Handlebar mount.

The groove in the adapter lets you bend the power cord to the left or right if you need to.

There is a small relief cut into one side of the adapter that lets you use an internal toothed lock washer.
This keeps the light from moving up and down once you crank down on the big mounting bolt.

The DX/Marwi adapter comes with a small 4mm button head screw shown above.
You may also need a Marwi Helmet mount, Marwi Handlebar mount and the Nylon Marwi mounting hardware kit shown on this page.

Marwi Helmet and Handle bar mounts
The Marwi mounts are very nice. I have used them for many years because they are so versatile.
I like to leave a handlebar mount on each of my bikes.
You can easily move your light from the handlebar to the helmet without removing the main mount.
The Helmet and Handle bar mounts use the same slide lock system.
There are two slide lock mounts available. A straight mount or an offset mount.
The Offset mount gets the light out of the way of the handle bar stem.
You can re-position the handle bar mount top part 180 degrees and use two of the offset mounts for two lights on the bars.
Point each handlebar light slightly off to one side of the trail and point your helmet light right down the middle.
This is known as the "Scorched earth policy" :)

You may also need the Nylon mounting bolt kit if you do not already have a mounting bolt

The handlebar and helmet mounts both come a straight mount,
but you can order an offset mount here if you need one.
This mount comes with a couple plastic washers that snap into the uprights

Old style Marwi Handle Bar Mount

Heavy Duty, lightweight, very durable plastic construction.
Adjustable threaded cam lock. The light mount is offset to the side.
Only fits regular 25mm handle bar sizes. Has built in rubber handlebar grips.
The Top U shaped mount swivels side to side so you can aim the light beam where you want it.
You bolt the light to the U shaped mount. The upright U shaped mount has .25" holes
This mount comes with a steel mounting bolt and nut
Option: Order the lightweight Marwi Nylon mount kit in place of the steel bolt.

Super light weight Nylon Mounting bolt kit for Marwi lights and Mounts
The kit includes
1 x Nylon Rod
2 x Nylon nuts
2 x Internal toothed lock washers
You will need this kit if you are using the DX to Marwi adapter shown on this page.
You can replace the steel bolt and nut on Marwi lights with this hardware.
Tip: I like to super glue one nut in place and leave the other nut free to turn by hand.

Assembled Marwi SSC P7 LED light
The Marwi SSC P7 light is not an item from a light manufacturing company that carries a warranty.
You are basically buying all the parts and paying me to assemble the parts for you.
I only offer this service because many people are not able to assemble these lights themselves.
The people I buy my parts from do not offer any warranty on any of the parts and so I cannot offer a warranty.
If you feel you need a Bike light that carries a warranty, check out some of the companies such as Light and Motion.
Be prepared to pay way more than what these Marwi SSC P7 lights are selling for.
Just giving everyone a heads up so there are no surprises and everyone understands the situation.
I am not a light manufacturing company, I am a parts sales company that offers parts for the DIY'er.
I do test and burn in every light after it is assembled to make sure it all works correctly.

The current Marwi P7 lights have a USA made Judco push button switch and two 1400ma current regulator boards.
The lights now have two modes - Low mode = 1.4 amps - High mode = 2.8 amps.

The lights do not come with a mount.

Stock - Dual 1amp Li-On Charger
The input is AC 100-240Vac 50/60hz 500ma max
It can be used all over the world, but it has flat plug ends.
See the plug converter below for round plug conversion

There are two separate 1 amp chargers in this unit.
The output is 4.2VDC at 1amp * 2

Used to charge 18650 Li-On cells.
Each charger has a red and green LED to indicate when charging is complete.
The charger does not come with batteries.

It is possible to add cords and plugs to these chargers so that you can charge external battery packs.

Assembled Dual 1amp Li-On Charger
This charger is $16.55 parts + $13.00 labor = $29.55 assembled

This is the same charger as the stock charger up above
It has been modded with two external charging wires.
Both wires have Anderson PowerPole connectors on the ends
You can hook up my assembled battery holders directly to this charger
You can leave your batteries in the battery holder and charge the whole battery pack.
You can charge two battery packs at the same time

Euro round to flat plug converter
Use this plug on the chargers up above to convert the flat plug into Euro round plug format.

18650 2400mah 3.7v protected Li-On batteries
Used to power the P7 LED's and other devices
I use these batteries for my SSC P7 lights.
If you make your own battery packs using these batteries, you can easily mod the charger above to charge battery packs.
These batteries fit the chargers and battery holders shown on this page.

Marwi SSC P7 heat sink
I bit the bullet and had a local CNC lathe shop make a bunch of these heat sinks.
These were custom designed by me to fit exactly into the Marwi light bodies.
They were kind of expensive to have made, but they are a very nice piece of machine work.
The Marwi light bodies themselves are relatively inexpensive, and so the heat sink price is not so bad when you consider that.
This heat sink makes SSC P7 conversions a snap when using the Marwi light bodies.

The heat sink has two larger non-threaded holes for the LED + and - wires.
There are two 1-72 threaded holes for mounting a SSC P7 LED
There is plus and minus engravings showing which wire hole is positive and negative.
I did the engraving because the holes in the aluminum backing plate that is attached to the SSC P7 LED, are not symmetrical.
There is only one way the screw holes line up perfectly.

Machined 35mm aluminum reflector

This reflector has been machined on my CNC machine for P7 use.
The threaded area has been removed and the hole has been enlarged to approx 9.2mm
The SSC P7 on this page fits perfectly onto the back of the machined reflector.

This is my favorite reflector and the one I use for most P7 projects.
It is used to convert Marwi Halogen lights to SSC P7 LED's

The design of the stock 1400ma boards keep changing.
I would have to redesign the clicky switch current limiter board set also.
There is not enough demand for me to do that.

Hi-Lo 1400ma current limiter board set
These are the circuit boards you would use to make my Hi-Lo current limiter.
You also need two machined 1400ma current limiter boards and two clicky switches
Note that this mod is fairly labor intensive and more difficult than the simple resistor current limiter

Hi-Lo simple Resistor current limiter board kit - Version 2
These are the circuit boards you need to build my simple resistor current limiter.
You also need two clicky switches and two current limiting resistors.
The clicky switches will be modded to make one switch.
All three parts pictured, come as a kit

SSC P7 LED - C bin
3.6 volts - 900 Lumens at 2.8amps (Seoul Semiconductor figures) - 21mm Diameter x 8.5mm tall
This LED actually has four LED's on one chip that can each run at 700 milliamps each.
All four LED's runs at 2.8 amps total and the LED is rated at 900 lumens (Seoul Semiconductor figures)

The light from this LED is very white and looks very close to real daylight to my eyes.
Compared that to HID (bluish color) or Halogen (yellowish color).
I have owned Halogen and HID's and this LED blows them all away for light output

For those not familiar with this LED, this is not one of those little 5000mcd super bright LED's you see at Radio shack.
Using this converter, I plugged in a 5000mcd 30degree Super bright LED, just to see how that translated into lumens.
The converter said that would be about 1.070 Lumens, this LED is 900 Lumens

SPST Judco Switch and Nut

SPST Contacts - rated 14VDC at 10 amps
This switch has two 18 gauge stranded wires
Each 18 gauge lead is about 4.5 inches long
Body = .53" wide x .66" long x .90" tall to top of plunger

SPDT Contacts - rated 14VDC at 2 amps
This switch has three 18 gauge stranded wires.
Each 18 gauge lead is about 4.5 inches long

Judco Rubber Switch Boot with internal nut

Waterproof the Judco switches above
This boot has a threaded switch nut inside already.
Just remove the regular Judco nut on the switch, and screw on the boot

You get what you see in the picture on the left.
The switch housing, the Velcro strap and the SPST Judco switch inside with a rubber switch boot.
It comes with about a 7 inch piece of two conductor cable.
You do not get the gray PVC pipe. :)

Clicky Switches

Has the ball point pen click mechanism inside.

The MR11 bulb plugs into the ceramic receptacle .

15 Amp Red/Black Anderson PowerPole Sets for 16-18ga wire

One set includes 1-Red jacket, 1-Black jacket, two terminals and a roll pin
Each Red and Black jacket has a dovetail on all four sides so you can slide these together in all sorts of shapes.
The small roll pin locks the jackets together.
The terminals can be crimped to the wire, but crimping and soldering is best.
You push each terminal into the housing until it clicks and locks into place.
The terminals come together in a spring loaded wiping motion that keeps them clean and tight.

Used to wire up lights, battery packs, battery chargers, make leads, etc
This dual 18ga wire is not regular lamp type zip cord. It has a super flexible jacket that feels like silicon to the touch.
The wires are connected together with a very thick/tough membrane that is way harder to pull apart than regular zip cord.
This wire is really nice and 18ga means you can runs lots of DC current through it.
The overall size is nice to work with, not too large or bulky.

This is the Chinese knock off version of the famous Dean's connectors
The male plug has small springs to keep the male and female together tight
Each set includes a male, a female and 4 pieces of heat shrink tubing
You solder your wires to the outside tabs and heat shrink them for a nice clean look
